1. Information processed by the app

When you choose, capture, or share an image, FolioCue processes it locally using Apple's image frameworks and Apple Vision text recognition. The developer does not receive your images, recognized text, drafts, calendar items, or reminders through the app.

The app has no login, advertising, analytics, tracking SDK, cloud AI, or developer-operated server. It does not monitor your photo library or watch for screenshots.

2. Local storage and retention

FolioCue keeps a resized image, recognized text, your edited draft, and local records of confirmed Calendar or Reminders saves. Pending shared images are stored in an on-device shared container used by the app and its Share extension.

These app-managed files are excluded from device backups. The app retains up to 40 local drafts and 20 pending shares. When an inbox is full, new imports stop instead of automatically deleting existing work. Drafts remain until you delete them or the app's data is removed.

Swipe an imported item in the inbox to delete its image and draft. Pending shares move into the main inbox when you open FolioCue and space is available. Deleting a draft does not delete Calendar events or Reminders you already saved. Deleting the app may remove its local data; the developer cannot restore it.

3. Photos and camera permissions

Apple's photo picker exposes only the image you choose. FolioCue does not request blanket photo-library access. Camera access is requested only when you select Camera; captures are stored in FolioCue, not added to Photos.

You can manage Camera permission in iOS Settings. Draft review, manual editing, and the built-in sample do not require camera access.

4. Calendar and Reminders

Calendar events are reviewed and saved in Apple's event editor. FolioCue does not request access to read your calendar history.

Creating a reminder requires the full Reminders permission provided by iOS. FolioCue does not read your reminder contents; it saves the reminder you explicitly confirm to your default list. You can manage Reminders permission in iOS Settings.

Saved events and reminders may sync through the accounts you have configured with Apple or other providers. Those services operate under their own privacy practices. Nothing is written automatically by FolioCue.

5. Maps and external websites

If you choose to search an address in Maps or open a detected link, the chosen search or URL is sent to the external app or website. That service follows its own privacy policy. This does not send the source image or its complete recognized text to the developer.

6. This support website and GitHub requests

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. It contains no developer-added analytics, advertising, tracking scripts, or cookies, and loads its images and styles from the same site. GitHub may process technical information such as your IP address when serving the website, as described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.

If you voluntarily contact the developer through GitHub Issues, your GitHub identity and anything you post are visible to the developer and the public. These messages are used to respond to questions and troubleshoot reported problems. They remain on GitHub until removed according to GitHub's controls and policies; closing an issue does not delete it.

Do not post private images, personal appointments, addresses, names, passwords, account details, or other sensitive information. Use fictional examples. You can edit your posts using GitHub's controls and contact the developer about removal, subject to GitHub's capabilities and any legal retention requirements. Public content may also have been copied by others.

The on-device app does not automatically submit support information. Visiting this website or posting a support request is a separate, voluntary action.

7. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app or support practices change. The effective date at the top will identify the latest version. Any new data-collection feature would need to be reflected in the policy and applicable App Store disclosures.
